This is the result of some initial studies. Part of the effort included developing methods for traversing the directory tree automatically and generating a web document of basic results. The name task3 means only that it is the third version of a MATLAB script called to analyse each image.
The task is fully automated, with no adjustable parameters yet. Results for folder
v3 are much better than for folder v4 which seems to have much
less image contrast.
The following is an example of an image with well-defined boundaries and good contrast.
