ECE Lab Software Overview
Agilent IO Suite
Agilent Intuitlink Data Capture
MATLAB Instrument Control Toolbox
The Agilent IO Libraries Suite is a collection of libraries that
give you the ability to use your instruments from a test and
measurement program. The suite also includes utilities that help you
quickly and easily connect your instruments to your PC.
Major Features
- Connection Expert - automatically scans and configures your instrument IO
- IO Monitor - trace IO traffic on your instruments
- Interactive IO - send commands to instruments and read responses
- VISA Open Report - helps troubleshoot instrument connections for systems with multiple VISA installations
Benefits
- Easy configuration for even complex, mixed-vendor systems
- Works with the most popular IO Libraries including; Agilent or NI VISA, SICL, VISA COM or NI-488.2
- Auto discovery of instruments from any vendor
- Works with the most popular T&M software applications including Agilent VEE Pro, MATLAB, NI LabVIEW, Visual StudioŽ
- Automatic detection of other vendors IO Libraries and configuration to use both of them regardless of install order
Agilent IntuiLink Data
Capture for Agilent Oscilloscopes offers the
following capabilities depending on the instrument model:
- Download bitmap, plotter image, or printer image from an instrument.
- Download waveform data from an oscilloscope in ASCII XY format
- Save and restore instrument settings.
- Print the screens and images to a printer with multiple images per page.
- Support for USB, LAN, and GPIB interfaces
Instrument Control Toolbox software is a collection of M-file
functions built on the MATLAB technical computing environment. The
toolbox provides you with these features:
- A framework for communicating with instruments that support
the GPIB interface (IEEE-488), the VISA standard, and the TCP/IP and
UDP protocols. Note that the toolbox extends the basic serial port
features included with the MATLAB software. *
- Support for IVI, VXIplug&play, and MATLAB instrument drivers.
- Functions for transferring data between the MATLAB workspace
and your instrument. The data can be either text or binary.
- Event-based communication.
- Functions for recording data and event information to a text file.
- Tools that facilitate instrument control in an easy-to-use graphical environment.
